☆ Profil :
Tomo est né le 29 Septembre à Tanba, Hyogo au Japon et commença la guitare au lycée, pour rapidement monté au sommet de la scène musicale à Osaka au Japon. C'est à 18 ans qu'il commença à vraiment consacrer son temps et son âme à la musique.
Son autre nom, Ley, signifie beau, ou charmant ce qui le caractérise bien par rapport à sa simplicité et sa gentillesse qu'il aura par la suite vis à vis de ses fans. Ce prénom s'écrit avec un kanji : 麗. C'est le nom que lui ont donné ses parents à la naissance, mais lorsque il était enfant, comme son grand-père disait que ce prénom signifiait "zéro" quand on l'écrivait en hiragana, et qu'il aurait donc zéro point à son examen, ses parents changèrent alors avec "Tomo". Il ne voulait pas perdre son autre nom, c'est pourquoi Tomo l'utilisa comme nom de scène lorsqu'il fit du Visual Kei.

☆ Sa carrière :
Tomo joua dans plusieurs groupes de musique et s'essaya à différent genres : Le premier groupe qu'il intégra fut un groupe de Visual Rock : VOYAGE de 1995 à 1998 produit par M.Aki le manager de DIR EN GREY mais le groupe se sépara au moment où il dû signer avec le grand label SCUBE RECORD.
C'est ainsi que Tomo créa son deuxième groupe aux influences de Visual Kei de 1998 à 1999 : IF. Ce groupe ne durera malheureusement qu'un an.
Ensuite, en 1999 il aida à la création de son troisième groupe, encore un groupe de Visual Rock : NIL, qui fit salle comble concerts après concerts, mais l'existence de ce groupe fut de courte durée.
Très rapidement Tomo changea de style pour intégrer cette fois ci un quatrième groupe : PIECE, un groupe de J-Pop de 1999 à 2002 entant que soutient à la guitare depuis avril 1999.
Après la séparation de son quatrième groupe, Tomo travailla avec Tony pour former en 2003, un groupe de Rock électronique qui signa avec GIZA MUSIC, UNKNOW FREQUENCY. Durant ce temps, Tomo et Tony, avec Ryoko, travaillèrent sur une idée et créèrent par la suite le groupe ECHOSTREAM qui prit forme à partir de 2002 .
Tomo a également travaillé sur un projet J-Pop du nom de CHOCOLATE SYRUP de 2002 à 2004 puis en 2003, il joua de la guitare pour Aiuchi Rina, artiste en haut des vente du studio GIZA, à cette époque.
De 2004 à 2005, il collabora pour former le groupe pop THE GEMANIAC créé par le producteur du studio GIZA, Deron Reynolds. A partir de 2004, Tomo commença à travailler en live, en tant que guitariste, avec Zoey, qui fût un chanteur de la COLUMBIA RECORDS.
En 2006, Tomo s'installa dans la région de New York pour apporter sa vision unique des États-Unis. C'est ici que ECHOSTREAM trouva sa voix. Ils sortirent deux albums, 「Identity」 et 「The Duality of Courage」, ce qui leurs valurent d'être présenté sur la chaîne FX.
En 2009, avec plusieurs personnalités venant de Tokyo et Osaka, il créa un groupe prénommé ALIAS et commença à jouer avec Shahidah Omar.D'ailleurs ils jouèrent ensemble le 28 avril 2009 au show TV "The Bonnie Hunt Show".
☆ Moon Stream :
Il collabora avec Satsuki (ex-chanteur du groupe RENTRER EN SOI) lors de son passage à Los Angeles pendant l'Onicon 2009 ! Tomo qualifiera cette collaboration de "Dream Collation".
Et d'ailleurs cette nouvelle collaboration pris de nouveau forme puisque en 2011, Satsuki et Tomo formèrent un nouveau groupe de J-Rock ,Visual kei : MOON STREAM, avec Tomo à la guitare et Satsuki au chant. Ils firent une première brève apparition lors de la convention Japonaise Fanime à San José en Californie, le 27, 28, 29 et 30 mai où ils tenirent un stand et chantèrent en acoustique des chansons de Satsuki.
Et leurs premiers vrais concerts accompagnés pour l'occasion par le batteur U-YA et le bassiste Ena furent durant la convention de Sacremento en Californie le 17, 18 et 19 juin lors de la Kintoki-Con. Cette première apparition officielle fut couronnée de succès, ce qui prévoit pour le groupe une belle et longue carrière et nous attendons avec impatience la tournée en Europe et plus particulièrement en France, ainsi que la sortie de leur premier single .

He really devoted his time and his soul to music when he turned 18.
His other name, Ley, means ‘beautiful’ or ‘lovely’, what qualifies him very well according to the lack of pretention and the kindness he showed during his career. This name is written with the kanji 麗.
This is the name his parents gave him when he was born. However during his childhood, his grandfather said this name meant "Zero" when written in hiragana and therefore he would have zero points at his exams, thus his parents changed it for "Tomo". However he didn't want to lose his other name, that’s why he used his name Ley as his scene name when he was playing "Visual Kei".

Tomo played in many music bands and tried different styles.
His first band was a Visual Rock band: VOYAGE, from 1995 to 1998, produced by M.Aki , DIR EN GREY’s manager. But while they were about to sign with SCUBE RECORDS, the band split. Thus Tomo found his second band, Visual Kei influenced, from 1998 to 1999: IF. Unfortunately, this band lived for only a year.
After that, in 1999, Tomo quickly moved on and found his 3rd band, once again a Visual Rock band : NIL, whose shows were all sold out. However they quickly disbanded.
Tomo quickly changed his style, this time joining a 4th band, a J-Pop band named PIECE, from 1999 to 2002, which he was already helping as a support guitarist since April 1999.
After his 4th band broke up, Tomo worked with Tony in 2003 to form an Electronic Rock band signed by GIZA MUSIC : UNKNOW FREQUENCY.Tomo quickly changed his style, this time joining a 4th band, a J-Pop band named PIECE, from 1999 to 2002, which he was already helping as a support guitarist since April 1999.
During this time, Tomo and Tony, with Ryoko, worked on an idea and finally created the band ECHOSTREAM which started in 2002.
Tomo also worked on a J-Pop project named CHOCOLATE SYRUP from 2002 to 2004,then in 2003, he played guitar for Aiuchi Rina, at this time top selling artist from GIZA studio.
From 2004 to 2005, he worked to form the Pop band THE GERMANIAC supported by GIZA studio producer, Deron Reynolds . In 2004, Tomo started working as a live guitarist with Zoey who was singer from COLUMBIA RECORDS

In 2006, Tomo moved out to the New York area in order to bring his unique vision of the United States. There, ECHOSTREAM found its way. They have released two albums : 「Identity」 and 「The Duality of Courage」, which earned to be featured on the FX channel .
